Discover ARU London NewsEventsOpen daysEvent galleryImportant Dates On Friday 12th April West London proved the place to be as the glitzy Westminster Plaza Hotel hosted the ARUL Class of 2024 Leavers Ball. Dressed to impress with ball gowns and suits aplenty, over 500 graduates descended on the glamourous venue to enjoy an evening of joy to mark the end of their undergraduate journey. Following welcome bubbly at the reception, attendees moved to the huge ballroom dressed beautifully and completely in ARUL colours, where academics and professional staff joined them to feast on a copious three course buffet, washed down with excellent wines. The Principal delivered a short speech highlighting the achievements of the graduates, and the University over the past three years. Huge cheers welcomed the retelling of the University of the Year Award, the Social Inclusion University of the Year Award, the TEF Gold Award, and the fabulous NSS results. Rarely has a University and it's graduates had so much to celebrate and enjoy. An excellent live jazz band added atmosphere, as dancing began and cameras flashed to mark the occasion. Six Student Awards were presented to stand-out students, including the Chairmans Prize and the Principal's Prize, with recipients loudly cheered on to the stage. Graduates were reminded of the great Postgraduate degrees available at ARUL and the £2,000 alumni scholarship available to all; in addition to the availability of 50% and 100% scholarships. The Employability Team were also on hand to help any graduate to plan and land that next step on the career ladder. An evening to revisit old friends, remember the journey, and begin to plan the future. This was a fantastic evening of celebration for all, and one which is well deserved by our fabulous new graduates. Congratulations to every one, we are proud of you.
