The Employability Scheme is designed to help you build and improve your employability skills and prepare you for the graduate job market.
All our students at ARU London have the opportunity to complete our Employability Award during their time with us. Our aim for the Employability Award is to increase students’ awareness, knowledge and skills to succeed in the graduate job market, postgraduate study or business enterprise.
The Award, which runs during term times, consists of 3 levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. They require the attendance of career management skills sessions and Industry Exposure sessions to successfully complete each one.
Bronze
The Bronze Award is designed for foundation and first-year students to prepare them with the essentials needed to start planning their graduate career: understanding the transferable skills graduate employers value and learning how to demonstrate them on their CV.
Silver
The Silver Award supports our second-year students in creating a plan for their rewarding graduate career based on their skills, strengths and values. Students will use a range of activities to identify gaps and the next steps needed in their career journey.
Gold
The Gold Award prepares our final year students for graduate recruitment by equipping them with the skills needed to network, search and apply for rewarding roles and perform well in interviews.
The most exciting part is the Industry Exposure sessions where a wide range of employers from a variety of industries come to meet our students. At the sessions, students actively explore a range of employers, careers, enterprise opportunities and postgraduate courses, and clearly understand what the current market trends are and the employability related expectations of students during and after their studies.
Students will be invited to celebrate themselves along with other award holders at the Employability Awards.
ARU London students are automatically enrolled in the Employability Scheme sessions via the Online Learning portal on our website or via the myARUL app. Please follow these instructions on how to join the Employability Award and Industry Exposure sessions online.
