The Learning Resource Centre is a dedicated centre at ARU London to support student learning needs.

Located on 107 on the first floor, the Learning Resource Centre comprises of a small library with approximately 5000 books and a range of computers for study needs.

What services does the Learning Resource Centre provide?

Book Collection and Loan

The Learning Resource Centre houses approximately 5000 books in the subjects of Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources and Law. It also houses a selected number of Healthcare and Research Methods books. Some books are available for loan so students can borrow the books to take home. Aside from books, the Learning Resource Centre also provides selected business magazines such as Time and Bloomberg BusinessWeek.

Anglia Ruskin University Online Library

The Learning Resource Centre provides support for students to use the ARU Online Library. The ARU Online Library houses a vast collection of online resources ranging from: online newspapers, online books, online academic journals, and online journal articles.

 Student can access specialised academic databases to support their research. Emerald and ProQuest are some of the available databases for Business-related research. These academic databases offer vast amount of journal articles which students can use to enhance their reading. CINAHL Plus and MEDLINE are the examples of academic databases for Healthcare-related subject.

Harvard Referencing

The Learning Resource Centre also provides support on Harvard Referencing. The full guide of the Harvard Referencing can be accessed through the ARU Online Library:


ARU London students could apply for SCONUL to access other University libraries. The application is online via the SCONUL website . Please note that the access will be a reference-only access and therefore students are not allowed to borrow books.

Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)

Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is a dedicated in-house online platform to support students during their studies. One of the important features in the VLE is ‘My Modules’. My Modules is where students can access their module materials such as lecture notes and assignment briefs.

The Learning Resource Centre is available to support students who need administrative help with ‘My Modules’ on the VLE.


The Learning Resource Centre provides administrative support on Turnitin; for example on how to submit assignment and how to read the Originality Report.
