Embarking on a journey towards a career after graduation can be daunting. Understanding how to effectively job search is pivotal for final year students and recent graduates.

The Employability Team held an enlightening Graduate Job Searching Masterclass on the 23rd of November, 2023. This event, attended by 70 participants, was aimed to equip graduates with the essential tools and insights needed to successfully navigate the competitive job market.

The masterclass was brilliantly conducted by our two Careers Consultants, Anum and Maria, whose expertise illuminated the room. Their collaborative effort ensured the session was a compelling mix of invaluable information, interactive sessions, and practical exercises, allowing participants to learn actionable strategies to succeed in their job hunting.

Anum and Maria started the session by delving into fundamental topics crucial for job seekers, but the masterclass wasn’t just a lecture; it was an immersive experience where participants were actively involved in activities that fostered deep reflection and learning. Discussions on identifying suitable job titles, understanding personal strengths and weaknesses, and effective ways on how to articulate these points resonated deeply with the participants. The presence of the Careers Consultants offering personalised guidance and support, ensured that no questions went unanswered.

The overwhelming positive feedback provided by the attendees highlighted the clarity of information, the engaging presentation style, the practicality of the session with tips and insights they could immediately apply to their graduate job search.

 
Moreover, the discussions and exchange of experiences amongst the participants and the consultants fostered an enriching environment. The masterclass was not just a learning session; it was a platform for networking and sharing experiences, igniting inspiration and motivation among the attendees.
