International Students Information

Coming to study with us will be an exciting time in your life and, like most things, you'll need to plan ahead.

The most important things you need to do before you arrive are:

  1. organise your accommodation before you travel. You can choose from the many private partners we work with to find a place that is right for you.
  2. arrange your finances so that you can pay your tuition fees and have enough money for your living costs (rent, food etc). If you're not sure how much money you will need in the UK there is a sample budget our living in the UK page.
  3. read the International Student Handbook. This guide will provide you with useful information before you arrive at ARU London and during your studies.

Making your travel plans

Finding a suitable flight can be difficult so we advise you to make your plans as early as possible.

Always try to arrive in the morning, ARU London is open from 9am and there will be more public transport options than if you arrive at night. If you know you will be arriving late at night you might prefer to stay in an airport hotel and travel to ARU London the following day.

London Heathrow Airport is usually the main option for students travelling from outside of Europe. Heathrow is a large airport with five terminals so always check your flight details before arranging any transport from the airport. London Gatwick, London Luton, London City airport and Stanstead Airport are also close-by and are easily accessible via TfL. You can plan your journey here.
