We are seeking a strategic and student-focused professional to lead our Employability and Enterprise Services. This key role will drive high-impact initiatives that enhance graduate outcomes, embed employability into the curriculum, and promote innovation across the university. You will manage a dedicated team of employability and careers professionals, ensuring students receive exceptional advice and support throughout their academic journey.

The successful candidate will bring substantial leadership experience, a relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., QCG, Coaching, Recruitment), and a comprehensive understanding of the changing graduate employment market. You will be confident in working collaboratively across departments and influencing academic colleagues to ensure employability is meaningfully embedded within the curriculum. By developing strategic partnerships, managing enterprise initiatives, and harnessing digital platforms, you will help create a cohesive and impactful employability journey for students. Your leadership, data-driven decision-making, and ability to deliver engaging programmes that have impact, will be central to enhancing graduate outcomes and aligning with institutional goals.

Job Description

Student Success Officer

Salary: Competitive

Permanent, full-time

Start date: as soon as possible 


We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Student Success Team providing advice and support to students on a wide range of issues which affect their experience at the university.

The successful candidate is expected to deliver an effective and high-quality service and will be required to support a comfortable and smooth transition for students to settle into university life.

You must hold a degree or equivalent, and ideally have a background in working in student services.  

Our experienced team assists students on a wide range of non-academic issues that affect students throughout their university journey. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of delivering support and guidance for students, however the ability to treat people with kindness and compassion whilst working in a fast-paced environment is essential.

The primary purpose of this post is to deliver support, advice and monitoring of student engagement.

The principal responsibilities are as follows:

  • To act as a point of reference for student queries
  • To provide support and advice for students
  • To provide liaison between students and members of staff
  • To contribute to and being part of a team
  • To maintain records to a professional standard
  • Any other duties commensurate with the responsibilities and purpose of the post

Job Description

Academic Support Tutor

Salary: Competitive

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Academic Support Team, providing 1-1 study skills tutoring and working as a key part of the University’s Academic Integrity process.

The Academic Support Tutor will work closely with other members of the wider Academic Registry Team and other internal departments where necessary.

The successful candidate is expected to deliver an effective and high-quality service and will be required to support students in developing their academic skills as independent learners, and to ensure the University’s academic regulations – in terms of assessment offences – are upheld.

You must hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent, and have a background in education, training, or university academic support. You will ideally have been educated to postgraduate level and/or hold a teaching qualification.

Our Academic Support team assists students on a wide range of academic matters that impact their university journey and future employability prospects.

The principal responsibilities are as follows:

To provide 1-1 study skills tutoring.

To provide support to the Academic Schools, in terms of assessment, feedback, and mentoring.

To manage the University’s Academic Integrity process, from making decisions on allegations of academic misconduct through to processing assessment offences.

To promote and support academic integrity throughout the University

Any other duties commensurate with the responsibilities and purpose of the post
