Last Friday, the SU and the University Employer Engagement Team hosted the first careers fair for over 3 years in London! This represents the first big event from your VP Farringdon – Carmen, who campaigned to promote employability for students.
The event itself was the busiest we have ever seen! Over the course of 2 hours, over 130 students came down to visit our selection of 10+ organisations, representing the best of the hospitality sector, including the House of Commons, Jury’s Inn and the Ritz Hotel.
The firms were really happy to meet with students and to speak to you about their job offers and openings. Students seemed to really enjoy the fair, with over 90% of students giving positive feedback in our post-event survey.
We’re really pleased at how successful this event was, and we’re already thinking about hosting another one this year!
