Employability

Employability Office

The Employability Office prides itself on guiding and helping you to take the next step in your career.

The Employability Office is available to assist you with queries about career choices, employment, graduate jobs, as well as part time work to support you during your studies, and the employability scheme throughout your study at ARU London and thereafter. 1:1 career support is available on site or remotely over Zoom – please call us to arrange an appointment, or contact us by email at employability@london.aru.ac.uk

We provide you with the tools to improve your employability skills and help prepare you for the working world. One of the main ways we do this is by organising the Employability Scheme.

This includes:

  • Giving you advice and helping you find the right career, course, or training route to enable you to progress into rewarding graduate employment or postgraduate education.
  • Helping you understand the skills, values, beliefs, ambitions, and experience you already have that will meet the specification for ideal job roles.
  • Identifying gaps in your knowledge, training, and experience required for your dream role.
  • Put a plan in place so that by the time you complete your degree you are equipped to successfully apply for that promotion, graduate employment or further education position.
  • Equipping you with confidence-building skills to develop your business networking, online presence, and career opportunities.

Once you are a student you will be able to access the CareerZone area of the VLE. It is full of resources to help you discover career options, plan how to achieve success in your chosen graduate career, prepare to make a great first impressions on employers while networking and successfully progress through the application and interview process.

Our Employability Office acts as a link between employers and students. They are responsible for maintaining and creating new contacts with prospective employers for students on all courses at ARU London. Read more about our supportive industry partners.
