ACE Global Hospitality Forum (AGHF)
Last week, our Deputy Head of School, Alexander Muir, represented ARU London as a panellist at the 7th ACE Global Hospitality Forum (AGHF) in London. The panel explored one of the hospitality industry’s most pressing challenges: “Circular Economy and Sustainable Strategies in Hospitality.”
As the forum discussions showed, for students preparing to enter the sector, sustainability will be part of many roles, from everyday operational decisions to long-term strategy. At ARU London, our Hospitality, Events and Tourism students explore green innovation, technology and sustainability strategies, building the knowledge to contribute to their future workplaces.
Alongside industry professionals and academics, Alexander discussed how hospitality businesses can move beyond surface-level green initiatives and put circular principles into practice. The conversation considered decisions about sourcing, resource use and waste reduction throughout the guest experience.
The session highlighted the value of connecting academic learning with industry practice, an approach we put into practice every day at ARU London as we prepare graduates to shape a more sustainable future for hospitality.
