ARU has been shortlisted for University of the Year 2023

As part of the ARU community, we're very proud of the shortlist position for the University of the Year accolade at the Times Higher Education 2023 awards!

This accolade celebrates ‘exceptional performance throughout the 2021-22 academic year’ and we’re #ARUProud the success in delivering high-impact projects during this period has been recognised by the judges.

Amongst the most significant achievements has been the successful launch of #ARUPeterborough, a new university designed from the ground up to meet the needs of local students, employers, and the regional economy.  Delivered through a unique partnership with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and Peterborough City Council, ARU opened the first teaching building at ARU Peterborough in the summer of 2022, welcoming the first students last September.

ARU excels in research, achieving our highest-ever ranking in the Research Excellence Framework 2021, with 'world-leading' ratings across all subject areas and in 2022, the Cambridge Institute for Music Therapy Research received The Queen’s Anniversary Prize. ARU became the largest university provider of initial police education and health and social work graduates in the UK (GOS 2021). ARU ranked 1st in the UK and 20th globally for health and wellbeing in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2022

We’re #ARUProud of all our incredible staff, students and graduates within the ARU community, who all bring positive change to the world! Read the full news story on the ARU website.
