Each year, the Office for Students (OfS), the regulatory body for universities, runs the NSS, a national survey regarding the student experience. We really value your feedback, and completing the NSS helps us continually improve the student experience.
The NSS is an opportunity for final year undergraduate students to reflect and comment on their course and other aspects of the student experience. The NSS opens on Monday, 2nd February and closes on Thursday, 30th April.
As a thank you to those who complete the NSS, ARU London will fund a drink, chocolate and crisps for you from Koroma’s Kitchen, an enterprise led by an ARU London alumnus. This offer is available to you throughout February and March for those who complete the survey early. Student ambassadors, Course Directors and Deputy Course Directors will come into some sessions to help you to complete the NSS and guide you regarding how to claim the ‘thank you’ via Koroma’s Kitchen.
Ipsos Mori is employed by the OfS to encourage students to complete the NSS, and so Ipsos Mori regularly calls, texts and emails students who have not completed the survey. As described in the Applicants and Registered Students Privacy Notice, the survey is a task carried out in the public interest, so your contact details will be transferred to Ipsos MORI for the NSS only. All the data is held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. All your responses will remain anonymous, and at no point will you be identified. All information will be securely deleted by Ipsos Mori after the survey closes and will not be shared. More information is available on the NSS website.
As this is a government survey, you will be contacted directly by Ipsos Mori (not us). We appreciate that being contacted can feel annoying, but if you complete the NSS, Ipsos Mori will stop contacting you.
Thank you in advance, and all the best for the remainder of your studies.
