My decision to pursue the Master of Business Administration (MBA) International at ARU London is the culmination of careful reflection on my career journey, my professional ambitions, and where I want to take my business leadership capability next. It was not a decision I have taken lightly; it is one I have arrived at through a combination of personal inspiration, professional need, and genuine intellectual desire.
In part, I was inspired to apply to ARU London by a close and trusted source, my brother, Mandev Kaley, who studied Optometry at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. Mandev speaks very highly of his experience at ARU. He found the academic environment to be supportive, challenging, and genuinely enriching, and he has recommended the institution with great enthusiasm. His positive experience gave me the confidence to explore ARU London's MBA offering, and what I found exceeded my expectations. The MBA programme is precisely aligned with the kind of structured, globally-oriented business education I have been seeking.
From a professional standpoint, I have reached a pivotal moment in my career where a formal postgraduate business qualification will enable me to unlock the next level of leadership and strategic impact. While I have an impressive portfolio of professional experience from leading hundred-million-euro real estate projects and conducting M&A due diligence for billion-pound transactions at Deloitte, to managing international sales operations across the UK, Portugal, and Dubai, I recognise that there are dimensions of business leadership and management theory that would benefit enormously from structured academic exploration. An MBA provides the ideal framework to synthesise, contextualise, and elevate my practical experience within a rigorous academic setting.
I am also motivated by the international dimension of this MBA. My career has been inherently global as I have managed cross-border teams of 30 or more professionals, advised international clients on real estate investment opportunities in markets ranging from Dubai to Lisbon, and worked within the global networks of a Big Four professional services firm. The MBA at ARU London will allow me to develop a more structured and theoretically informed understanding of international business strategy, global markets, and cross-cultural management, knowledge that I intend to apply directly in my future ventures.
What motivated you to pursue a Master’s degree?
The MBA will enhance my credibility and positioning as I pursue more senior leadership and entrepreneurial roles. Whether my next step involves scaling an existing business, launching a new real estate investment venture, or moving into a C-suite operational or strategic role, the MBA will provide both the intellectual toolkit and the professional credibility to make that transition effectively. The programme's focus on international business is particularly relevant, as my ambitions are firmly oriented towards global markets.

The scholarship has significantly supported my educational goals by reducing the financial burden of tuition and related academic expenses. With this support, I have been able to focus more on my studies, participate actively in academic projects, and make better use of learning resources without constant financial stress. The scholarship has also motivated me to maintain strong academic performance and stay committed to my long-term goals. Beyond financial assistance, receiving the scholarship has encouraged me to work harder and make the most of my education. It serves as a reminder that my efforts are recognised and that I have a responsibility to continue striving for excellence and contributing positively to my community and future career field.
What impact do you hope to make after completing your degree in your chosen field?
After completing my degree, I hope to make a meaningful impact in my chosen field by using the knowledge and skills I gain to solve real world problems and contribute positively to the organisations I am involved in. I want to build a career where I can create innovative solutions, support the growth of my interests and help improve aspects where others haven't touched. I also hope to inspire and support others who may face financial or personal challenges in pursuing higher education, just as I have been supported through scholarships and educational opportunities. In the long term, I aim to continue learning, grow professionally, and contribute to projects and initiatives that promote progress, sustainability, and equal opportunities within my field.
