What have you studied/will you be studying here at ARU London?
I graduated with First Class Honours from International Business and Management and am presently pursuing Accounting and Finance Management at ARU in London. These disciplines are essential for holding the complexity of global business, economics, and corporate decision-making. They align with my desire to gain knowledge in finance, an area in which I am passionately interested and believe I can make significant contributions to the field.
Why did you choose to study for a master's degree?
A master's degree is the next step in my journey to becoming a leader in the business and finance industries. I decided to pursue this degree to expand my knowledge, build on the solid foundation I established throughout my undergraduate studies, and improve the skills required to overcome the gender gap in these fields that are dominated by men. It is also a personal milestone that reflects my commitment to ongoing study and desire to provide opportunities for others.
What made you apply for a scholarship?
As someone who grew up in a single-parent household, I recognise the importance of financial support in achieving desired goals. I applied for the scholarship to minimise the cost of my study and allow me to fully concentrate on learning. The scholarship is more than just financial support. It is a recognition of my hard work, resilience, and determination to excel despite the challenges I’ve faced.
How has ARUL helped you with this 50% scholarship?
This 50% scholarship has transformed my life. It has relieved my financial stress, allowing me to focus on my personal and academic growth. It has also been a source of motivation, reminding me that my work and aspirations are appreciated and supported by an institution that values diversity and talent. This support has empowered me to push further and set expectations on greater achievements.
What do you hope to achieve after your degree?
After finishing my degree, I hope to become a financial leader who inspires women to break down barriers and excel. I want to use my skills to promote financial independence and inclusivity, especially for people from minority groups. My ultimate goal is to make a meaningful contribution to a world where everyone has equal opportunities to prosper, while building a legacy that encourages perseverance and ambition in others.
