What have you studied/will you be studying here at ARU London?
I previously completed a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Social Care at Anglia Ruskin, which gave me a strong academic foundation and prepared me for professional growth in the health sector. Now, I am studying for a Master’s in Public Health, a vital stepping stone towards my future academic and career ambitions.
Why did you choose to study for a master’s degree?
For me, studying a Master’s in Public Health is the natural next step, both professionally and academically. It equips me with research skills, policy insight, and practical tools that will allow me to contribute to the future of public health on a broader scale. My long-term goal is to pursue a PhD at Anglia Ruskin, and this programme provides the foundation for that journey.
What made you apply for a scholarship?
I applied for a scholarship because postgraduate study can be financially demanding, and this support allows me to focus entirely on my academic work and contribute meaningfully to both classroom discussions and wider public health initiatives. Beyond the financial benefit, I see the scholarship as an investment in my dedication and commitment. Having been nominated as a four-time top achiever and Principal’s top achiever at University, I feel empowered to continue excelling academically and performing at the highest level during my Master’s studies.
How has ARUL helped you with this 50% scholarship?
The 50% scholarship has not only relieved financial pressure but also motivated me to strive for continued academic excellence. It has reinforced my confidence in my abilities and given me the support needed to achieve outstanding results at Master’s level.
What do you hope to achieve after your degree?
I plan to continue my academic journey by pursuing a PhD at Anglia Ruskin. I am considering two doctoral paths: a research doctorate in Allied Health and Social Care with a focus on public health from a holistic perspective, or a Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care, which would allow me to conduct practice-based research into holistic interventions in community public health programmes.
