On the 14th April at the glitzy Westminster Plaza Hotel within sight of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, approximately 400 ARU London recent graduates, academics and staff gathered for the Class of 2023 Leavers Ball.
Dressed in their finest clothes, the glamorous evening began with champagne and socialising in the bar, where attendees could pick up an ARU London graduation bear amidst career sharing and general celebrations.
At 7pm, the main doors opened to the event, with attendees seated in course groups with their classmates to celebrate their success. The Principal was introduced to rapturous applause, welcoming and congratulating the Class of 2023 on their fantastic achievements and their opportunities for the future. With everyone settled, the fabulous jazz band began to play as the food stations opened to a copious array of Indian, Italian, and Mediterranean inspired food, followed by a sumptuous selection of desserts and fruits.
With red and white wine on the tables, and the jazz band busy plying their trade, the room was ready for the presentation of the Class of 2023 student awards. Charles O'Dean presented ten winners to David Sexton, including winners of the Chairman's Award for overall performance, the Principal's Award for persistence and diligence were presented. Each Award Winner rose to thunderous applause, to receive their engraved award on the glittering stage.The wonderful event ended with further celebrations and dancing as the evening drew to a close.
