“My educational journey began in my home country. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances at the time I was prevented from continuing my education. A year later, I found myself in the UK, facing the challenges of working life. I had to postpone my education. Fast forward 2 years, and one day, I saw ARU London recruitment advert on Facebook. After reviewing all the courses, I found the best one for me. And I was sure ARU London was the best path for me. Determined not to waste my potential, I decided to apply.
My course was very exciting. We experienced both theory and practice to the fullest, thanks to the inclusion of business modules and event modules. ARU London provided me with the opportunity to meet great people, especially lecturers. It was a great journey.
During my academic journey, I encountered challenges with student finance, but the iCentre proved invaluable in providing guidance. They directed me to the Finance team, and together, we swiftly resolved the issue. Thanks to their support and collaborative efforts, I could refocus on my studies with renewed confidence. The iCentre's dedication to student welfare highlights ARU London's commitment to student success.
My Undergraduate degree has been instrumental in paving the way for my career in the events industry. Equipped with the knowledge and skills acquired during my studies, I've confidently entered the professional realm. From strategic planning to stakeholder engagement, my education has provided a solid foundation for success in this dynamic field. I'm grateful for the opportunities it has unlocked and remain committed to ongoing growth and development in my career.”
Madlen says that the best advice she can give other students to succeed at ARU London would be to work on your research and time management skills. It is not easy to balance education around your day to day responsibilities. However, think of this as an investment in your future which you will see long term benefits from.
